Øland (local)

ØLAND is a new Danish-language pop project that moves in the tension between the intimate and the grand. The project works with honest lyrics, strong melodies and a contemporary soundscape, where electronic and organic elements merge.
Behind ØLAND stands Asger Skjerk (vocals, songwriting and production) together with his three brothers: Lasse Skjerk (drums), Wilhelm Skjerk (keys) and Preben Skjerk (bass). They function as a collective, where everyone contributes to both composition, arrangement and the overall expression.
ØLAND is currently developing their first songs and shaping a common musical universe. The project revolves around themes such as vulnerability, relationships, doubt and hope–with a clear focus on presence and recognisability. The music takes shape through an open and experimental process, where the band explores the balance between the intimate and the energetic. The goal is to create a personal and contemporary pop expression that can stand strong on the Danish scene and speak directly to the listener
