Valøya gives you an unadulterated universe of Nordic folk music, put in a pot with ingredients like pop and jazz. The band takes you back to the roots and shows how the same feelings that moved people a thousand years ago still live in us today. Here, the senses are spoiled with murderous tales, sour love ballads, supernatural legends and much more.

With respect for tradition and a curious approach, the six young musicians carefully dust off the old songs and breathe new life into them. Here, medieval songs become more than historical relics. They become stories that you can reflect on, feel in your body and let yourself be carried away by.
