The Mood Killers (local)
For a number of years, The Mood Killers have made a name for themselves with their own acoustic interpretations of a large selection of popular songs from all corners of genres. From Michael Jackson to Pink Floyd to Johnny Cash and… Runrig.
At least a few Runrig songs have always crept into the set list, and after the trio's lead singer Malthe Vinther set out to learn the Celtic language in the Scottish variety (!), the trio has worked on more and more Runrig songs – including the Celtic-sounding ones – and with great success.
"Songs of Runrig" had its world premiere for a sold-out Abzalon in Aalborg on November 26, and has since played 2 more sold-out concerts at the same venue.
It will be a concert in the spirit of the songs, not with the grandiose production that characterized Runrig, but versions of the songs that cut to the bone of Runrig's "legacy". An acoustic and present experience.
